GLOW, an abbreviation for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, is a web show based on a popular TV series of the same name. The show depicts the lives of the people living in the glittery world of Hollywood and Wrestling. TV series shows us the emotional and mental aspects of those trying hard to survive in the glamour world. Especially when women did not have it easy back in the ’80s. The show portrays the same at its best.

The web show is created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch and was first premiered in 2017 on the online streaming platform Netflix. Now, regarded as one of the best shows on Netflix, the GLOW has come a long way. With the amazing cast and a more amazing storyline, the show successfully created a space among the audience.

The show has comedy-drama as its genre and has a backdrop of sports. The show focuses on the undiscovered and less talked about workplace inequality and racism in the stardom world. The show enjoyed an IMDb rating of 8/10 and has a good run of 3 seasons for now. The last season, season 3 got aired in August 2019. After gaining positive response and increased rating, makers have decided to renew it for the fourth and final time. And fans are evidently upset over it.

Release dates

The show was earlier expected to hit the streaming platform this year in Summers like all its predecessors, but it didn’t happen. The announcement about the series finale was made last year. The shooting process was scheduled to start in February 2020, but maybe because of the pandemic situation, it has paused.

Production houses, studios, and all other things have put a halt in their work on account of the COVID-19 crisis. If everything goes right, we can expect it to hit the digital screen by 2020 or 2021.

For the series finale, we can expect the entire show cast to reunite once again to embrace their roles for the last one time. The show will have Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder, Betty Gilpin, as Debbie Eagan, our two protagonists. Supporting cast includes
Sydelle Noell, Britt Baron, Chris Lowell, Marc Maron, Alison Brie, Kate Nash, and others.

If the storyline has a chance, we can witness some new faces as well.

The entire story revolves around Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who cannot survive in Hollywood and joins wrestling to make a big name and fame.

Ruth enters the wrestling world and competes with 12 other aspiring gorgeous ladies waiting for fame and success. Ruth discovers her ex-best friend in the show who is also part of the ongoing competition. Debbie, her ex-best friend, and another protagonist who’s friendship with Ruth is broken a long time back. Competition environment and spirit of winning acts as fuel to the fire reigniting their anger.

The show revolves around beautiful women and how they deal with their respective personal and professional lives, which got jumbled.

Season 3 of GLOW left all its fans Wondering and anticipating. It delivered a major surprise as all the ladies went to Los Angeles. In season 3, we witnessed Debbie owning the power to be the head and took charge of the show. Season 4 will show us if Ruth decides to stay on the show and participate or direct it or not? What will Ruth do? And will the duo be able to restore their friendship? The season has a lot in store, it seems.

That’s all for now, readers. We will get back to you with more updates soon. Till the time, stay home, and stay safe.
