Today, Mattea Roach, a 23-year-old Toronto instructor, won her 14th game in a row, bringing her total winnings to $320,081. Roach moved up to ninth on the all-time consecutive games chart and tenth on the all-time non-tournament cash winnings list with this victory.
Roach is also the most successful Canadian contestant in the history of Jeopardy! So far, she’s answered 93 percent of hints correctly in 14 games.
“This has been such a wild season of streaks,” Roach remarked, “and I was fully expecting Amy [Schneider] to still be here.” “If it isn’t Amy, there will be another super-champion who will simply knock me out in Game One.” I guess what I didn’t realize is that I could be able to become the world’s first super-champion.”

On Monday, April 25, Roach returns to the ring against two new challengers: Michael Graff of Eastvale, Calif., and Jessie Francis of Marietta, Ga.
Mattea Roach moved into the ninth position on the show’s all-time list of the most consecutive game wins with her 14th triumph on “Jeopardy!” on Friday.
Roach, a 23-year-old Toronto instructor, took home a paltry $320,081 in prize money, putting her in the tenth position on the list of all-time non-tournament cash earnings. Roach is also the highest-ranking Canadian contestant in the history of “Jeopardy!” She has successfully answered 93 percent of clues in 14 games.
Amy Schneider, a participant on the show earlier this year, ended a 40-game winning run with total wins of $1,382,800. Schneider had the second-longest winning run in “Jeopardy!” history, trailing only current co-host Ken Jennings’ 74-game streak, which he ended in 2004. Schneider also made history by becoming the first transgender contestant to advance to the Tournament of Champions in November.
“Jeopardy” has encountered a variety of issues after the loss of veteran host and producer Alex Trebek in 2020. Following a brief stint as a presenter in August, executive producer Mike Richards was relieved of his duties, with Michael Davies taking over as EP earlier this month. The show will be hosted by Jennings and co-host Mayim Bialik until the completion of the 38th season in July when a permanent host (or hosts) will be announced.
On April 25, Roach will return to the stage to compete against Michael Graff of Eastvale, Calif., and Jessie Francis of Marietta, Ga.
