Born Diana Frances Spencer on 1st July 1961, she was the first wife of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, and mother to Prince Harry and William of the British royal family. Diana has a tag name to her called ‘Princess of the People’, her iconic dressing, activism, and mannerisms won the hearts of people all over the world. Unfortunately, on August 31st, 1997, she was involved in a car crash that led to the death of her companion Dodi Fayed, her driver-bodyguard Henri Paul and herself, in Paris in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel while fleeing the paparazzi. Her funeral was televised on 6th September, and around 32.10 million viewers dropped in to offer their condolences, becoming the highest viewing in the United Kingdom! Her death came as a shock to many people, she was loved and adored all over the world and her death was mourned by all as though a close friend passed away.
However, it has recently come to light that Princess Diana, before her death had written a confidential note with another individual which was supposed to be revealed after her death. The Princess had predicted her death a year before and even mentioned it in the note that she would be tried to ‘get rid of through a car accident. This note is famously known as the ‘Mishcon note’, which was coined by Diana’s legal advisor Victor Mishcon. The note even mentioned that Diana had heard about this from other sources and was sure of it.
Now 6 years later, after her death, this note comes back under daylight to serve the people its truth and is handed over to the French authorities. There have been many conspiracy theories that revolve around Diana’s death since the beginning, but most of the facts are not confirmed which is why, it stays the way it is, as ‘theories’. Many say that Diana’s death was brought about by the hands of powerful people within the society but again nothing is legit. The legacy of Diana still lives on to this day, even after her messy divorce from Prince Charles, she maintained respect and dignity as though she were still a member of the royal family! People reminisce about the icon on her birthday and death anniversary by posting about her on their social media platforms, or visiting her grave site and offering a flower of their choice. The youngest child of Princess Diana, Prince Harry has shared in multiple interviews that she would be very proud of the person he has become today and of his family too, this is just another example of how Princess Diana will forever live on in our hearts!
