This particular build started rolling out a few days ago, and it introduced a new option named “Enroll in the Beta Test Program” inside the “System update” settings, which is the only way of registering yourself for this limited Android 11 beta testing phase.
The recruitment period is open till September 4, but ASUS hasn’t disclosed anything regarding the number of available slots. The company is planning to publish the recruitment result on September 9, while the selected participants should also receive an individual confirmation email from ASUS. All the beta testers will be given special authorization to access a private section of the ASUS ZenTalk forums, which is meant for posting feedback and bug reports.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Interestingly, the eligibility criteria vaguely demand that your ZenFone 6 must be bootloader locked for Android 11 beta enrollment. The exact verbatim is “Didn’t unlock the device before“. That indicates that a ZenFone 6/ASUS 6Z unit with a re-locked bootloader.
