There are no games that come to mind which have a more massive ongoing hype than Cyberpunk 2077. The game has been under development for so long that half of its fanbase has grown up. However, after tons and tons of delays, the game is finally ready to be in the market. This development is incredibly exciting, especially since the sneak peeks of the game are so good-looking. On top of this, the game is only a few months away from release! We have gathered everything you need to know about the game. Read more to know all the details about Cyberpunk 2077.
The game finally comes out in November this year. When CD Projekt RED announced the release date, fans were just as excited as they've been about every update that the studio releases about the game. Although the initial release date was April 16, 2020, the studio postponed it. They stated that they needed to work upon their product more before release. After that, the launch was to happen on June 18, 2020, but then the studio pushed it back to November 19 this year. The reasons for that aren't clear, but it could either be more work related to the game or the pandemic situation. In any case, we are excited for the game to be out.
Since this project is from CD Projekt RED, you can expect a lot of characters to be present in the game. Remember how there were tons of primary and secondary characters in Witcher 3? Similarly, Cyberpunk will have a lot of side-characters. CD Projekt RED announced that the protagonist would be custom, and the player can decide their looks. This feature alone can excite any fans of the RPG genre of games. However, from what we saw in the trailers, there are many more exciting characters, including Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.
We don't know what precisely the game's plot is yet. However, we are aware of a few details about the game. For instance, the entire game takes place in a fictional city of the future. Its name will be Night City, and it will be the very essence of the word, Cyberpunk. We expect the game to be sort of like Witcher, where the protagonist does quests and side quests to achieve his goals. Also, Keanu Reeves's character lives in the protagonist's head as a ghost. So, we are excited to know more details as the release comes near.
There's a lot of mechanics that are available to the players in the game for different approaches. CD Projekt RED added a non-lethal option to all guns for a pacifist run. It's going to have Stealth mechanics as well in the game to take a different approach. A gameplay demo from 2019 showed us parts of the game's dynamics, and it is looking to be very exciting. There's going to be hack-n-slash action as well since blades are a part of the game's arsenal. More will be known as the release occurs.
The studio has released several trailers over the years, here's one of them:
