South Korean directors believe to experiment with wide-ranging genres. Memories of the Alhambra directed by Ahn Gil-ho gives its audience blended themes including thriller, adventure, romance as well as science fiction. This South Korean series was first released as a cable television program which attracted huge audience because of its twisted plots. The season 1 is now available on the streaming platform, Netflix for its global spectators.
Memories of the Alhambra takes its audience into the world of ‘augmented reality” or AR along with Yoo Jin-woo and Jung Hee-joo. Although the film has much to tell about this world but it successfully shows the thin connection between these two worlds. This Korean drama which was initially launched on a television channel, tvN has become the highest rated Korean cable TV drama.
Memories of the Alhambra: Real verses virtual world
The Korean classic initially introduces the viewers with Yoo Jin-woo, CEO of a company. The story opens up slowly when Jin-woo receives a mysterious message about an AR game. As soon as he got the message, he flew to Spain to meet the owner of the letter. But his life had something else to offer and he ended up meeting a hostel owner, Jung Hee-joo.
Ahn Gil-ho very interestingly changed the emotion and the feelings of romance and adventure soon evolved. Not only this, it gradually takes the audience into the world of science fiction where the character will be entangled between the real and virtual world.
