Pop Team Epic Season 2: Pop Team Epic which is also popularly known as Poputepipikku is a Japanese anime adapted from its own manga series. The manga series was illustrated and written by Bkub Okawa and the production of the new chapters of the series are done to date.
The Japanese anime premiered its first season in 2014 and had a decent success after it streamed on the Manga life win website. The fans of the show are awaiting for Pop Team Epic Season 2 to release soon.
Pop Team Epic Season 1: Plot and Storyline
The story revolves around two 14-year-old girls – Popuko and Pipimi and their misadventures. Each episode of the anime has its own story taking us through the adventures of these girls, thereby, the anime doesn’t have a concrete plot to connect all the episodes. Moreover. each episode is very short only consists of 12 minutes of runtime.
All of the adventures which these two girls go through are so bizarre and they also encounter them equally with odd manners, yet, it is so enjoyable to watch their quirkiness and laugh together. The anime also consists 0f surreal humor and like the manga, it is also known for parodies of pop culture. With these pop culture references, the anime also has unique storylines which attract the western as well as Japanese to enjoy the show.
It, as in the anime, also doesn’t go with a particular genre type, as it comprises comedy, drama, action. humor and few others with plenty of stories looped around pop culture and a lot of swearing. Pop Team Epic Season 2: Characters
As said before, the story only revolves around the two main characters of the show – Popuko and Pipimi respectively. Let me help you guys to know who are they and what are their characteristics:
Popuko – She is a fourteen-year-old girl and has hair of light orange with yellow irises. She is always short-tempered and angers prone for which she sometimes attacks everyone and becomes more violent. She loves and believes in violence and her weapon for combat is a bat embedded with nails. Although she is violent in nature, she also loves and cares for Pipimi.
Pipimi – She is also a fourteen-year-old girl and has navy blue long hair with very blue eyes. She is the best of Popuko and is exactly the opposite of her in character, despite being a best friend of Popu. She is a very calm, sweet, and stern person who takes care of Popuko very much but when Popuko gets threatened or beaten by someone, she can suddenly turn into an angry girl. On the contrary, she has control of her anger and temper, unlike Popuko.

Pop Team Epic Season 2: When will it release?
The first season of the anime had 12 episodes overall with a decent success with the audience but what will happen about its season 2? Is there any hope for Pop Team Season 2 to release?
There was so much hope for the fans of the show for Pop Team Epic Season 2 because after the ending, less than a week, there was a special episode aired by KamiKaze Douglas Production itself, and there ha been already several spin-off’s shows of the anime which were being aired off. The specials of Pop Team Epic had 3 episodes where they were titled – Ninja Batman Vs Pop Team Epic, Kindan no collab CM Eizon Kaikin! and the last one with a very unusual being Pop Team Epic Kitten.
Despite the several spin-offs being released, there still hasn’t been any official confirmation of Pop Team Epic Season 2 yet. But, there are hopes for the fans about the show’s next season but the production team of the anime hasn’t announced anything yet so far.
However, taking the decent success of the Pop Team Epic from the fans, there might bePop Team Epic Season 2 being made and the producers might announce it during this month as it is just being 2 months of the 1st season being premiered. As each storyline of each episode was different in the first season, there are a lot of other adventures that the creators can write on with newer pop culture references.
