Andrea Meza is a Mexican singer and songwriter who has been winning over fans with her unique style of music. Andrea was born in Mexico City and grew up singing at school events, choir competitions, talent shows, festivals and on the radio.

Miss Mexico Andrea Meza has been crowned Miss Universe 2020 – 2021. This is the first time in history a woman from Latin America, North America, and the Caribbean will hold this title.
Meza is only 22 years old and she will represent her home country of Mexico at the 71st annual Miss Universe pageant which will take place on Mon, 17 May • 5:30 am IST in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood, FL, Florida, United States
She now joins a list of other national beauties who have graced the stage including Reita Faria (India), Chelsi Smith (USA), Märtha Louise (Norway), Kseniya Sukhinova (Ukraine) among many others.

Miss Universe Last Year:
It was a long-awaited victory for South Africa and the continent as a whole when Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa won last year’s Miss Universe. She became the first African woman to win in over 50 years, breaking this record by one year.
No other African country has ever placed higher than third in the history of the contest, but now that Tunzi has done it, she is living proof that anything is possible!

Tunzi grew up with her mother and five siblings in Cape Town before moving back to Johannesburg after her father died. She started modeling at age 18 because she wanted to use her appearance as an opportunity to show how beautiful Africans are on both continents.

Miss Dominican Republic’s topic was global poverty and she said that the rate at which people are living in poverty continues to rise. She noted how it made her proud to represent her country when calling attention towards the help needed for those struggling.
The final contestant, Miss Peru, spoke on climate change as their statement; they stated that we all need responsibility if we want a better future of our Earth with its many resources intact. They also mentioned teaching younger generations about safety measures so there will be less harm done over time by pollution or other means affecting biodiversity.
