The Caves and Cliffs Update is finally here, but it didn’t stop PUBG Corp from adding one last thing: aquatic mobs like axolotl (say “ax-oh-lot’-uhl). They’re cute creatures who spawn under specific circumstances so we’ll walk through what those are as well as giving pointers about caring for them when captured – don’t forget their egg could hatch any day.
Where to Find Axolotls
Axolotls are found in the dark and underwater caves, which makes them hard to find. They can only spawn at sea level 63 or lower, but they come five colors that you may not know were options if you’ve never seen one before!
Finding Axolotls is too easy. They are in every water biome, but they can also be found on lakes and ponds near bedrock or limestone when the sun goes down which will make them easier to spot if you have a light source with you. The best way to find one of these little guys is by digging up dirt blocks along rivers while fishing for an Undulating Eel because it’s more likely that they’ll spawn there than other areas of the map where their rarity level would decrease considerably; however, this method has its limitations as well so we’ll explore some alternatives later.
How to get more Axolotls
Now that you have Axolotls at your disposal, breeding them has never been easier. They do not need to be in the water for reproduction but it is best if they are so that baby axolotl can survive and grow up healthy. When two candidates are ready just right click with a bucket of tropical fish on each creature and soon enough there will be an adorable new addition to your home! If transporting by buckets as well, then don’t ever worry about despawning because scooping up aquatic creatures inside a bucket prevents this from happening too
