What is Supernatural season 15 about?

The famous American dark fantasy TV series is back with another season! Supernatural was first premiered in 2005 and has been running for over a decade now and it is back with Supernatural season 15 which is the final season of the series.

The first episode of Supernatural season 15 was premiered on 10^th October 2019 and it was planned to end the series by mid-2020. But due to COVID-19, there was a delay in shooting and it paused after releasing its 13^th episode on 23^rd March 2020.

The series was later continued on 15^th October 2020 and finally came to an end on 19^th November 2020 with its 320^th episode. What a journey it was!

As the name suggests, you would be seeing a lot of supernatural creatures in this series. This is a story about two brothers – Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester and their adventures in hunting down supernatural creatures around the country.

So a lot of zombies, vampires, werewolves, and demons should be expected. The story picks up in Supernatural season 15 from the time when Hell is unleashed on Earth by God and every ruthless spirit is wandering freely.

The Winchester brothers along with Castiel try to escape this situation and reluctantly take help from a demon. As the series progress, it was seen that the group is planning to defeat God.

But defeating God?! How can they do that? That is why you should go to Netflix straight away and start watching this series.

Is the show still going to continue after Supernatural Season 15?

When it was announced that Supernatural is being renewed for its 15^th season, the creators also announced that it would be the last season of the series and they thanked the fans for their love and support towards the show.

The creators thought that it was the right time to end this long-running show. They have said it before that they would continue the series as long as the actors want to do it.

And since both of the main characters’ families live in Texas, they missed them while shooting in Vancouver. They wanted to spend more time with their families and decided to bid farewell to Supernatural.

With the last few seasons, the ratings on the show had also decreased which can also be one of the reasons to end the show. Nevertheless, Supernatural has been one of the most important and legendary shows for The CW.

We know the end of Supernatural is upsetting but we do bear some good news! Although we are not getting the next season it has been confirmed that the creators are working on a spin-off series!

This spin-off series is currently in the works according to The CW and will be focusing more on the parents of the Winchester brothers. The creators said that they instantly knew that they wanted to explore the story of John and Mary Winchester since both of them were killed by a demon very early.

John was played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan while Mary was played by Samantha Smith in the show. The other cast of the show consists – Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, and Misha Collins as Castiel.

The shooting of the show mostly took place in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada while the pilot was shot in Los Angeles.
