Maryland Governor Forcefully Pressures Lamar Jackson to get Vaccinated, Pissed?

Must read

The NFL has had several protocols in place to incentivize players to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and now Lamar Jackson is facing pressure from an influential politician.

With the recent spread of COVID-19, pressure is mounting to get all players vaccinated. One athlete who has not yet given in and gotten his shot is Lamar Jackson from Baltimore Ravens. The powerful politician under whose domain he plays as an American football quarterback has recently started putting pressure on him through media appearances with a veiled threat that if there were any repercussions for refusing treatment, his career would be over.

After testing positive for COVID-19, the Baltimore Ravens are not expecting Jackson to return until at least Friday. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan urges that he be vaccinated to prevent any further spread of this virus.Maryland Governor Forcefully Pressures Lamar Jackson to get Vaccinated, Pissed?

“Lamar’s gotta get (vaccinated),” Hogan said, via WBAL’s Phil Yacuboski. With the rules the NFL put down, I can’t imagine a team wanting to forfeit a game or lose a chance at the playoffs and none of the players getting paid because someone won’t get a vaccine.”

Jackson had to miss a minimum of 10 days of training camp, and it’s not because he doesn’t want to train. It turns out that Jackson is unvaccinated against the COVID-19 virus which means his absence in Camp will be longer than if he was vaccinated!

Jackson maybe even is less inclined to get vaccinated now due to natural immunity since he has tested positive for COVID-19 twice in the last eight months.

The NFL has much stricter rules for unvaccinated players than vaccinated ones, which could prove to be a problem during the regular season. One player admitted recently that he got the COVID-19 vaccine only because he felt like there was no other choice left to continue his career with them.
