Plot–
There is a war going on between the Katjvarna Empire and the neighboring Republic of Kioka. Ikta and his friend Yatorishino join the army as military officers. They meet the sniper Norway and medic Matthew on a ship while heading for an army exam.
while on the boat Ikta saves a girl from drowning and she was a princess. And decides to cross the border to get the princess back to her home. And that was a daring task to complete. Completion of this task means a reward, a reward of a title as an imperial knight and after that he finds himself dragged into a war he hates.

She is possibly the best one in Igsem’s family as she is practicing with swords since she was a little girl. She and Ikta are companions due to the deal made between the two. She is extremely loyal to the kingdom and will attack whoever tries to cross the boundaries.
Chamille Kitra Katvarnmaninik: She is the third princess of the imperial family. She became friends with Ikta and Yatoshiri after Yatoshiri rescued her from drowning. She respects Ikta not just for his intelligence but for his overall personality. She wants to destroy the country for a new and better beginning just as Yatorishino. She wants Ikta’s help in this as others either lack intelligence or are too loyal to the country to destroy it even it is for good.
Norway Remi seems to be highly proficient when it comes to guns and can easily hit targets from afar. His family is known for having one of the best marksmen in the kingdom. He meets ikta on the ship before an exam. However, he cannot shot people when they are close because of his humanity and he cannot kill a human and from afar it’s easier.
Matthew Tetdrich: He met Ikta and Yatorishino while heading for an army exam. He is their classmate. His family is a part of a minor noble family and has low recognition. He wants to be his family as well known. Yatorishino and Norway belong to a noble and well-known family and he often compares himself to them and wishes to defeat them one day.
Harima Becker: she is a nurse who meets Ikta and others on the ship before the army exam. Ikta often flirts with her, he considers her to be very beautiful. she has four younger brothers.
