Outcast takes place in a fictional town of Rome in West Virginia and revolves around the supernatural story of a young man named Kyle Barnes.

Kyle had faced several misfortunes since his early childhood. For instance, he was always beaten up by his mother when he was just a small kid. He was even condemned for attacking his very own daughter, Amber Barnes.

However his world and everything he believed in turns upside down when he attends an exorcism practice in his native town. Following the results of the exorcism, Kyle is definite that his estranged mother, Sarah Barnes, and his wife, Allison Barnes are under the influence of supernatural forces and that he was not to blame for everything that bad happening.

Kyle soon meets up with the town's local Reverend, John Anderson who later ends up becoming one of Kyle's close associates. Furthermore, the duo goes about and tries to save people who are possessed by demons or anything supernatural.

On the other hand, Kyle has to also tolerate and put the with the other residents in his town who are convinced that Kyle is bad news and that he deserves to be behind the bars.
