Since its debut in 2015, the Apple Watch hasn’t changed much in terms of design. To compensate for the lack of cosmetic change, the cyber accessory has had a slew of digital capabilities added over the years. And it appears that the Apple Watch update for the next generation could be a game-changer.
A body temperature track is rumored to be included in the Apple Watch Series 8. Not only will this provide consumers a better understanding of how their bodies work, but it will also help them monitor their health, detect illnesses, and even track their fertility (assuming they haven’t already purchased an Apple Watch).

While it’s still early days, and the addition of temperature tracking is simply a rumor, for the time being, we’re glad to know Apple is working on new features, especially given how disappointing the prospective design changes appear. We were purportedly given an early peek at the new Apple Watch 8 back in November, and with its eerily similar design to the Apple Watch 7 (see below), we were unimpressed.

I Want More From the Apple Watch in 2022
The original Apple Watch was merely a notification gadget for iPhones, but it has since evolved into a formidable fitness tracker and communication device. Having said that, there are several enhancements I’d want to see.
While the Apple Watch’s extensive workout library, user-friendly software, and addicting Activity Rings have made it my favorite fitness tracker, I frequently find myself wanting more. Other companies, such as Oura and Fitbit, are catching up to Apple in some areas, especially when it comes to sleep tracking. It’s past time for Apple to catch up, and I’m optimistic that its upcoming wristwatch will help it do so.
In the fall, Apple usually introduces new Apple Watch models. However, in June, when Apple usually holds its Worldwide Developers Conference, we should see new software features for current and prospective models.
