Liza O’Brien- The current host of the TBS program Conan is Conan O’Brien. In 1983, O’Brien began his career as a stand-up comedian, later writing for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. Liza Powel was born at Bainbridge Island, Washington, on November 12, 1970. Jake Powel, Liza’s father, was a guitarist in a Dixieland band. Liza met Conan while working for Foote, Cone & Belding as an advertising executive. Liza’s company agreed to collaborate with Late Night on a skit, which introduced Conan and Liza.
Liza O’Brien’s father saw Conan’s attraction to Liza’s beauty right away. According to Piers Morgan, O’Brien said:
“Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there’s footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera.”

Liza O’Brien quit her job, from an advertising executive to a screenwriter
Liza began her work with Foote, Cone & Belding as an advertising executive. After receiving an MFA in Fictional Writing from Columbia University’s School of the Arts, she went on to work as a screenwriter. Her plays have been seen in New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles, among other cities. The Gate, The Distinguished Gentleman, and Ruthie Goes Shopping are among the plays Liza has written, according to her website.
She also volunteers with the Youngsters’ Defense Fund’s Beat the Odds program, which assists at-risk academically gifted children. Liza has also appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop, among other shows.

It was very painful for him to let go of this hallowed ground that he’d finally got a chance to stand on… The truth is, The Tonight Show was the definition of cultural relevancy for decades. And all of a sudden, it’s not. That’s not Conan’s fault. It’s not anybody’s fault. It just happened.”
Conan may have been sad and despondent, but there was a bright side to his situation. Conan was able to rebrand himself and take on new ventures as a result of the circumstances. Conan was hired by TBS to host Conan with Liza’s help.
On November 8, 2010, the first episode of Conan aired. Conan discussed the whole thing with Piers Morgan and he said, “I’m honestly happier now… this feels… like a greater achievement… because I’m doing exactly the show I want to do.
I’m doing it with people that I love. And we get to do it our way… I just think life throws you a lot of curveballs and this is something that I didn’t agree with, and I thought it was pretty screwed up, but we, everyone went through it.”
