Release of Terraformars season 3:
Fans await the release of Terraformars season 3 since the release of OVA episodes in 2018. The production house released 2 OVA episodes, ever since then there is no news regarding the release of Terraformars season 3. However, fans are still hoping for the renewal of the series. The problem began when the writer of manga started facing health issues.

If we talk about source material then yes Liden films which produced the last 2 seasons have more than enough source material if they want to renew the series. After the health issue started with the writer it came back again in 2018 and they published 2 more volumes that year. The manga has a total of 22 volumes, so yes they have enough source material if they want to release another series. So let’s hope for the best. Terraformars season 1 received so much love and appreciation from its fans and viewers while season 2 didn’t gather much appreciation and love maybe that’s one of the reasons why they aren’t announcing anything regarding the series.

Plot
Scientists of the 21st century planned about colonizing Mars, part of the plan included sending cockroaches and seeding algae to absorb sunlight on the planet, and corpses of cockroaches will spread algae across the planet and they thought in some time Mars will become all fit for humans to live. So they did send the cockroaches and seeded algae on Mars.
After almost 500 years the first spaceship with humans landed on Mars. Six crew members from earth were all ready for their mission on Mars but they encounter giant cockroaches with incredible power and were later named terraformers. Although they warn their team on earth, they all died. After 2 years some genetically modified humans were sent to Mars for taking samples of roaches, called Bugs 2, only 2 of them survived. One of the survivors swears to return and avenge the death of his team.
An unknown disease is spreading on earth and people suspected its connection with terraformers. The virus which they name AE virus ( Alien Engine virus) is spreading and killing humans. To fight the terraformers some crew undergoes genetic modification to inhibit the ability of other organisms, it included implantation of another organ into the human body with a survival rate of 36% of the surgery itself. Those who survived surgery were sent to Mars to find the cure. Some managed to return with the cure. But a new fight starts when they find the creatures on earth and it is revealed that the creatures found their way to earth long before. And their motive was to take over the planet.
Storyline- episode wise:
Episode 1 starts after 20 years of the tragedy of bugs 2. Akari Hizamaru was fighting in an arena in Bangkok to save his childhood friend Yuriko. In episode 2 we see Akari and his team member enjoying their time on a spaceship before landing on Mars for a cure for the AE virus, the team being named Annex 1. In episode 3, the fight starts when suddenly the Terraformars attack them. Akari and Marcos headed for the medicine and they find Terraformars in a room with vaccine destroying the supply.
In episode 4- Shochiki and his teammates make it to Mars and are attacked by Terraformars and other teams were also fighting with the same. Next Marcos is seen emotional as he remembers his childhood friend Sheila and her smile gave him courage, his eyes were filled with tears and he let his rage explode against the creatures they were fighting. One of those creatures with strangely developed legs tries to fly off the escape vessel while the whole crew were fighting with Terraformars. Yaeko and others wonder how come it knows about flying an escape vessel.
Michelle and Akari were busy fighting the Terraformars. Asimov and the No. 3 division were fighting with Terraformars who took Elena’s life. The terrible fight continues on Mars between humans and Terraformars.
Adolf and his team were heading towards the ship of the Annex as it was raining and they encounter Terraformars in their way, Adolf was remembering his childhood and he took out all his anger on Terraformars, and suddenly they encounter the boss of Terraformars then the Terraformars attacked back with more power, Adolf falls to the ground. Then suddenly someone comes to help, and it is seen that an act of God saves them and lightning strikes the Terraformars and tears them apart.

We know the sad truth that the production house of Terraformars isn’t responding positively, when it comes to renewing the series, as season 2 lacked something as viewers and fans have not responded that well to season 2 of Terraformars.
